Hello gents
Can anyone help please.I have a K760 and I have put a new primer bulb in and it works fine. but it will not prime I have tried blowing into the tube on the intake on the carb but I am have no luck you just can not blow through it .

should say what ur K760 is....obv some kinda garden machine.....
to start there are 2 distinct sizes.....
the cheaper ones from China can be a little outta shape sometimes so they dont fit in the location groove on/in the plate or the carb.....have u checked....
they never really give any trouble until they get hard and split......
did u have this prob before....???? hence the bulb change.....
prob the pick up tube is split....tiny plastic tube from the tank or the fuel filter is totally clogged...
when I repaired these as almost a full time job....
when they came in with this kinda prob, they always got new fuel pipea a primer bulb n fuel filter.....
the odd time the cust didnt wanna spend the money so they got told to P off......not wasting my time ....

Didn't someone here have this problem a while back? @Wozzaaah or @JOEPRO maybe?
He had to prime the bulb with fuel first then it worked ok.

After my last post I have put new carburettor parts in new fuel lines and primer bulb. I have got spark and fuel.then trying to start the cutter it just will not start after a few pulls the fuel starts coming out of the decompression (closed) valve

Will it need new piston rings or would I be better off with a compression test if so how much are the kits

about four weeks ago I got the husqvarna k760 to work. got it out today and it will not start I have spark and fuel but it will not start I put fresh fuel in the pot and it still will not start can anyone help me please before I go mad

Have you got a compression tester?

That is what you need to check next. I had one the exact same and when I checked compression it was around 90 IIRC. I fitted a new piston kit, got 150psi and it started right up.

Do verify the current compression first, not saying to order parts!

Joepro I have hone a few compression tests on the husqvarna and the first one top is with the decomposition valve open-and the second one bottom is with the decompression valve shut

Yes it's not good. Won't run like that.

You need to remove the cylinder barrel and inspect if its OK for re - use with a new piston kit.

Or if the barrel is scored beyond repair then a whole cylinder kit is required. Note there are 2x different types of intake width on these saws so you need to make sure you order the correct cylinder kit.

Yes it's simpe to check but very important to check what version you have before ordering.



New type cylinders have wider intake ports per above image.

So take your carb and intake manifold off and measure the old cylinder to know which type you have.
