you can make them from copper so they could be soldered and as long as they have water in them the solder wont melt forgot to mention lead free solder only or silver solder even brass if you have it
Interesting idea with the solder. As long as the thing didn't boil dry should work well. Will give it some thought. I think the best plan would be to get a pipe which would act as the chimney. Then cut a pipe in half and solder/weld this to the chimney pipe like this - (()
There should be enough space to boil the water.
Ive got a 2 litre kelly kettle , brilliant peice of kit it is too.
The top and bottom joins are rolled over and pressed with the look of it (from what i remember).
The 2 handle brackets and the cork/chain bracket are fixed with pop rivets.
Ive been using it a couple of years now and its never leaked yet.
ive often thought it would be pretty easy to make if you had access to ali tig.
