Larger bore quick release couplings

I've currently got PCL style connectors on my tools and air lines, but I realise they are not the biggest bore. I am looking in to changing over to fittings with a larger bore, but I want to make sure that if I'm going to change system, it's to something that is widely available and will be for a while.

What are the options? Can anyone recommend suppliers?

PCL have larger bore fittings in their range, the female and male parts are larger overall as well as the bore.

euro fittings will cater for air tools i just use larger bore pipe and c couplings on the blasting gear heres the diffrence in size

I allways thought they were called HVLP fittings.

euro 13mm or draper do a 1/2 inch one like below. they just push in no need to pull back the female to get it to couple.

id really keep an eye out for liquidation auction or pick some up second hand as £4 a fitting soon adds up.

I use PCL XF fittings for most stuff nowadays - I've got some adaptor hoses with XF fittings on one end and either the PCL 1/4" or Schrader fittings on the other end. Most of the Aldi air tools come with an XF male fitting anyway and so do a lot of others.

I use PCL XF fittings also, although I am yet to change everything across.

There is definitely a difference, when I let go of the trigger on the blow gun, you can hear the air pressure building up in the XF hoses for a split second because the connections on the end of the compressor are smaller.

Look at Cejn couplings.

I'm planning to build my compressor setup around CEJN 320 standard couplings. The nominal flow is 7.6mm. That would be regarded as a high-flow coupling compared to the PCL's 4.5mm.

1000 series PCLs will run the 1" windy gun, and live lines for putting Super singles on the bead, these are good for about 20mm Line.

above that a C coupling on the 4 tool for shotblasting.
