Hi all,
A bit late introducing myself, I found this site on Google while looking for help on fixing my MIG (see the Kempii forum) In the meantime it has been fascinating reading, esp the tutorials and the 'make your own kit' section. I used to live in Portugal and was always a bit short of info on 'how to'. But made a lot of my own equipment, folder, tube bender, ally section saw. Mainly because the stuff was expensive out there and difficult to justify for the one job. Fabrication was always a second activaty, and usually I was the last resort after the locals didn't want the work.
I was asked to repair some ss bits on a boat, and bought a scratch start TIG on the expectation. I could really have used the info here on using it. Suck it and see worked all right, but at some cost in gas and test bits.
Nice to meet you guys and benefit from the considerable experience here. Hope I might be able to add some stuff from time to time.
Andrew
