For those in areas where broadband Infinity hasn't reached yet
you get a very plausible call centre worker telling you that they are sorry for the loss of bandwidth, slowness and interruption to service. but wait! we have a new router that adresses some of the issues bla de bla all you have to do is pay an up front £30 and the BT eingineer will come and install and check your devices etc have you got your credit card handy?
Wife was suspicious and phoned BT on the other line, they were un aware of that scam but did sell her a new phone that filters out foreign calls (c'mon "UKIP handset"jokes to be posted below) and are looking in to it
