My partner has just told me that, whilst she was watching it, our old flat screen Sony Bravia went black in the corner and then that blackness rapidly grew to engulf the whole screen.
There are load of "my TV screen is blank" posts on the web, but this seems to be more of an LCD issue rather than software, power, etc.
Would you agree?
No physical damage, and it was working fine last night.
The reason I'm posting here is that a) people know some stuff here, and, b) years ago, when these things first started to come out, lots of people fixed power boards for them etc, so I'm hoping on a fix...
...but, to me, the spread of "blackness" from one corner to the other, as she was watching it, just doesnt sound like a power failure?
Can anyone give insight?
Thank you.
