Hi folks, i,m currently doing a plumbing course which involves some lead work, i've made a couple of lead slates using butt & lap joints & enjoyed doing them and would like to learn more, eventually i would like to specialise in it, but i'm having trouble finding a course where i can get certificated, if anyone out there has got some more info i would be most gratefull, cheers Rich74.

I'm not up on plumbing course frameworks, coz I'm not a plumber, lead burning is part of your course work, you will learn basic lead flashing fabrication and lead burning, progressing onto more sophisticated fabrications, of course being lead burned too.
I would imagine there are many plumbers out there who have never touched lead work since they were apprentices, yes it is admirable you wish to specialise in a specific area of your trade, concentrate on core elements of your course work, specialist work can be looked at once your time is out.
