leak help

Sorry for all questions. You lot are a helpful bunch and im nearly all sorted lol. Any way when compressor fills air is leaking from here

the bit where tge metal pipe connect s at the top with the two holes looks like there is a pin in it. So is sir ment to come iut of here if not how do I solve it

at the other end of that pipe should be a non return valve, if air is constantly leaking empty the tank and clean the valve, if its only leaking when running then the valve in the picture is faulty

Its only leaking when its off. But id I take take cover off top I can adjust the pin if I wind it up it stops leaking

When off, it bleeds air out the line from the compressor. That makes the compressor easy to start back up.

There should be no air coming into that line when off. The problem is at the tank, the check valve is leaking. Probably corroded or the seal is bad.

The valve on the pressure switch bleeds air from line between the compre4ssor to the tank.

On the tank is a check valve. It will let air only into the tank. When the compressor turns off, the bleed valve on the pressure switch empties the air in the line. The check valve on the tank closes.

When the compressor starts again, it will not have the back pressure in the line, so it can start easier.

Your check valve is not sealing so it lets air into the line from the tank. The valve on the pressure switch is doing its job right; the check vale is the problem.

Oh that will explain why the compressor is hard to start once its stopped I have to give it a help in hand. Ok ill try taking valve off and cleaning it first
