Leaking air line, please help.

Newbie question I am sure, but Santa has come early and delivered some new tools for my MGB project.
One of my new toys is a compressor, which I used for the first time today. I bought an air hose from ToolStation (10m) with 1/4" swivelly nut fittings on each end.
The compressor end is fine, but the tool end leaks, a lot. Its coming from the swivelly nut bit, not where it's screwed into the quick release fittting.
Any advice appreciated.

if its not not where it's screwed into the quick release fittting
then is it where its attached to the hose ?

Yep, it's the end fitting itself. It's in 2 parts, one is clamped onto the end of the hose and the other part is the female screwixing to join on to the quick release. The leak is coming from in between the 2 parts.
I didn't know if I was missing something really obvious, or if it's just a dud.

All sorted. It turns out it wasn't the hose or its nut & tail fitting at all. At the same time as buying the hose I bought a Sip air tool kit from Toolstation which had connectors included, so I used them.
The quick release wasn't sitting into the nut & tail as far as it should, hence the leak. Then I realise that the bayonets on the Sip kit are much shorter than others I bought to use with my Clarke spray gun. So I've chucked the Sip fittings and bought new ones from Toolstation so everything is compatible and... no leaks!
