Leaky NRV?

I've been around just about every joint on my compressor, but it's still losing pressure overnight.
What next?

That's annoying, I've got to remove a cabinet to get the compresdor out. The NRV is not something that I can get off the shelf, unfortunately.

I want to keep it original. The original NRV is unobtainable I imagine. It's another time-consuming project.

Most NRVs are basically a valve seat and a sealing washer. Replacing the washer, or removing any dinks in the valve seat should be enough to fix the leak. On the other hand, it's a slow leak. Is it really worth fixing?

This is the old seal. I made a replacement.
Clearly the seat within the valve body needs attention.

Would it be possible to use a tap reseating tool to redo the sealing face? Might take a bit of modification though.

You can’t rush these things, the new diaphragm has to season properly for best results

I tell Mrs C that the wallpaper I’ve bought needs to season for a year or two before decorating, not sure she believes me though.

That's a waste. It takes nearly 4 mins to charge the tank. Admittedly thats to 10 Bar.

well it has to get acclimatized to the room its been fitted in. your suposed to spread it out though

what spread it out lock it together leaving a gap of 7mm all around the edges and then fit skirting board to finsh

that sounds very much like fitting it

just say to the otherhalf your aging it to get the right colour as it gets darker the older it is that might work

I did that. What a mistake. Every damn piece was a different width it took me an age to lay the floor, measuring the widths to get them near-matching for a run.
