lechler 2k epoxy thinners

Hi all

I've already used this lechler 2k epoxy 29107 primer to protect my panels, however once I mixed the activator it seemed thin enough so I didn't use any thinners. The data sheet does suggest that variable amounts can be used. Is there any reason to use thinners, because it goes on fine without any.

If it sprays ok then it's ok. Thinners is used to make it easier to spray.

Seems a bit soupy to me without, but I use normal 2k thinners, works fine.

The thinners is there for good reason, it will flow much better with, paint companies spend a lot of money devoting these paint and along cones a novice and decided he knows better

My question was asked because the data sheet does suggest than none can be used. I was just wondering if there were any advantages of using it other than reducing the viscosity. If it flows better with thinners then thats great,thats all I was after, no suggestion of going against the manufacturers directions

I use it non-thinned.......with a paint brush!

Cameron, this is a great forum with loads of helpful people. It's nice to see new members joining the site. Don't let anyone put you off coming back for help and info. If you are restoring a TR6, I would love to see some pictures.
