Lechler 2k topcoat not hardening?

Hi guys

Sprayed a part 2 months ago with Lechler 2k and used a universal 2k activator 2:1 ratio and I can still dig my fingernail into the paint. I have used this activator on lots of other 2k with no problems. Has anyone else had this problem?

Never had that, did you paint with heat and use a fast activator it has been very cold lately.

Had a tin last month would not go hard, thought we mixed incorrectly, tried another gun full after removing soft paint made darn sure 2 pot was correct turned out the same awaiting paint Co report.

Never had that problem myself, was the activator in date as it goes off. What Lechlar clear was it ???

Yes the activator is in date and I am using it successfully with other paint. The Lechler paint is just 2k solid colour and I heat the garage up before use.

Luckily I am experimenting with paint from different suppliers to get the correct match and have only bought a small amount to test.

I wonder if you need special Lechler activator?

I wonder if you need special Lechler activator?

You shouldn't need the lechlar hardener, I would take the paint back to where you got it and ask some questions.
