The lighthouse is made from 2mm steel sheet folded into a cone from 70mm at the top to 110mm at the base. The light is just some cheap LED light string rolled up into a small jam jar.
Nice touch with the reef knot.
Hmmm

Pretty sure that is a reef knot.
Very neat
I've always known that version as a thief knot
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thief_knot
It's a trick knot, set as a telltale, a miscreant is likely to assume its a reef knot, and retie as such after pilfering. Thereby leaving evidence of disturbance.
Being pedantic, but it's not a reef knot, I know them as friendship knots.
I really like the balustrade though
call it a square knot.Being pedantic, but it's not a reef knot, I know them as friendship knots.

Sheet bend would be better , and just as fast and easy to tie , double sheet bend if your being fussy.in the scouts we we're told it was a good knot for joining two ropes of dif size securely....
I stilluse it everday...

Thanks,@Lee Wire Well, it didn't take long for the thread to shoot off at a tangent .
Love the job, what was the inspiration? Customer specified? How did you form the knot...heat, cold bending or what?
