Loctite 572

With Loctite 572 I don't have to have the fittings done up as tight as I can get them before applying it? Also Loctite is quite slow setting giving me adequate time to position the fittings? What is the best way to apply it to the threads?

it put it on the bolt threads before you screw the bolt in at all

Loctite 572 is a thread sealant and we use it by applying the sealant to the bottom of the male thread and screwing it into the female. Tightening should be done as if there were no thread sealant present i.e nip tight +1/4 turn or what ever the recommended tightening sequence is for the type of fitting.

All Loctite products are backed with very good tech data and information on Loctite web site, and rather than asking on here it might be best to take a look and be certain of getting accurate info?

I have had a look and Googled but I think I will ask Loctite directly to see if suitable for my application.

Loctite are very helpful, and I would suggest giving them a call. Failure of thread locking compound could have expensive consequences, so you need to have 100% accurate tech data on these products.
