Dose it need to be powered by a drill or can it have it's own motor?
Would a central heating pump do the job?
Curiosity kicking in. Why such specific requirements on the flow path? Does it need to have a blank shaft for powering vias some external means, btw, or was the drill powered one the only one which was a decent example of the general design required?
I want a pumped water flow to turn the impeller and shaft in this case, as opposed to it being the other way round.
hmm I actually have a central heating pump lurking under my workshop bench. Only problem is that I would have to modify it to turn a shaft. I will take it apart and consider options though. Cheers
A central heating pump probabley won't work as they are a centrafugal pump.
What pressure will the incoming liquid have?
For what its worth, the water doesn't go straight through, it goes the long way round.
you need a hydro drive or a water motor / engine they exist on the web
