Looking for some help!

Hi I'm.looking for help on trying to locate a valve for to release the pressure in the head of my clarke air industrial 1996 model it is 1/4 bsp that screws on the side of the head but just cant seem to find one any where been in the phone to clarke and they werent much help tia

Got a picture? You have valves in the cylinder head and a non return valve but that is usually on the receiver body. They do have an air filter on the inlet on the side of the head. what problem do you have?

The valve was missing when I got it so just blows air out the hole

Is it a valve, or just a plug? It's difficult to make out what it's there for with the images you've posted.

probably the unloader valve to take the strain off the motor for the first half turn or so ,,, but thats only a guess

If there was a model number it might be easier to find an image that showed what was going on. The unloader would be part of the pressure switch, surely? Meaning that it would be a pipe going into that port.

i had a compressor where it was mechanical and automatic , but it was ages ago ,, could have had a pilot pressure capillary pipe on , but as i say ,,, long long time ago.

As Seadog suggested in post #7, do you have an unused pipe or empty port underneath the on/off pressure switch?

I always found Clarke to be very helpful with their machines.

Some of the older Clarke compressors had a safety valve fitted on the discharge pipe between the head and the receiver.
