lorch handy tig 180 acdc capabilities

Hi all,
I am quite new to tig welding and im on the look out for an acdc machine. What thickness of both stainless and allu can I expect from the title welder? I know I can do multiple passes but some jobs I do require welding 3mm tube to 8mm plate. Would this be possible?

Hi Depends on the joint configuration. Open corner, 8mm Alu would be ok. T-Fillet you may struggle. DC on Stainless, 20mm no prbs

Thanks Matt. I will give the Lorch a miss then as I wouldn't want to chance it. Its just there is one for a good price on a certain auction site.
