Lorch T220 dc fault code E5

Hi everybody, Just joined the forum, have been on here many times, but finally joined up as tonight as I have got a fault code E5 come up on my "new/secondhand" Lorch T220 dc tig plant...I have recently browed a Lorch HT180 ac/dc plant of a friend and really like the plant. So decided to splash out and buy my own, it was working fine until tonight, i have just reconnected the foot peddle form using the button, it arced up for a second or 2, then stopped with E5 code, I have know i dear or have a manual for it, so any help would be appreciated....cheers

I forget if code 5 is the water cooler as above or the torch is earthed when switching the machine on

As above, It needs a link if using a non Lorch torch,

You can deactivate the error code 5 without linking torch pins by going into the user-specific menu.
The machine looks for a flowswitch/torch protection circuit to link pins 4 and 5, either internally within the machine (lorchnet cooler) or with a rigged flowswitch. Gas-cooled torches have the pins linked.
The idea is that when it doesn't see a link and no lorchnet, it codes to stop you burning the torch up.
Specifically (controlpro versions) disable it by turning machine off, press and hold left selection button, turn machine back on. It's menu C02, values are on (no error code) or off (standard)
If it's a basicplus panel I'm not sure if it will work or not.

It was working fine just on the button last week, so I think I will set that up again and see if its working on the button again with any codes and take it from there.
I wondering if I have managed to plug in the foot peddle in wrong? As Munkul says going into the user-specific menu, I have no I dear how to get into that as I don't have a manual for the machine.

As has been mentioned about E5 is a cooling error where the machine thinks that it’s not seeing a return water flow.

If it’s a gas cooled torch on a gas cooled machine you need to solder a bridge across pins 4-5.

Evening all, set up the plant for just using the button took off the foot paddle, started up fine and worked fine no error code.....put some runs down fine....
Put the foot paddle back on, took the button off the plant.... started up the plant , struck up for a few seconds went off and E5 error code come up again. ####
Put the button back on and tried the foot paddle again.... and the plant works fine again no error code.
Must have been putting the plug in for the button has linked the 4-5 pins.
This is the first time I have used a Tig plant with the button on the plant and ( not on the troch ) but using the foot paddle... strange

You need to have the torch and the foot pedal plugged in at the same time mate
