I've been a long-time lurker on this site, reading about other peoples projects and going through the tutorials in the hope that one day I would have a welder of my own.
Thankfully, that day has come so I thought I should register on the forum so that I can share my first attemps at welding and hopefully become good enough to tackle some little bits of corrosion on my Porsche 944.
My welder is a Clarke 120E that I got for a sensible price from a friend at work. He's done the hard work of making sure that it worked correctly! It might be a bit scruffy, but it sparks bits of metal together so I'm happy.
After messing with some scrap steel I think my first project will be to create a small trolley for the welder.
This is the end-goal; to start tackling some of the little bits of corrosion on my weekend car.
