M3 Mandrel For Eclipse Spiralux Rivnut Tool

Does anyone know if I can get an M3 mandrel for this Eclipse Spiralux Rivnut tool?

As standard it comes with M4, 5, 6 & 8.

I'm not sure what model number it is as I've had it for so long!

Could you re-cut a larger mandrel down to M3 if needs be?

They split open. I borrowed one of a neighbour. I only put two M6 rivnuts in and it opened up and the hinge part fell out. It went back stronger and working.

But in my case, It goes back to the lender in a better condition than I got it usually. I don't like borrowing tools anyway, but it was just two nuts I needed. Although I have found a pretty decent one that I have my eye on.

From the pic Im guessing the mandrel is a double ended threaded stud with a shoulder, M3 one end and m10 or something on the other?

If so I can easily turn one for you, if you can measure one of them.

The end that screws into the tool is left-handed. At least it is on my genuine Rivnut tool.

The M3 threaded mandrels on those are made of cheese. I had to remake mine using a bit of a stainless bolt.
