Mercedes cylinder head identification

I've got a set of cylinder heads which I think are Mercedes-Benz, they have this number cast into them:
R4420160001.
Do we have any resident Mercedes-Benz parts guru's who can tell me if these are indeed Mercedes-Benz parts, and what engines they are intended for?

Drop the "R" or any letter in a part/casting number because its placing with - . / confuses things. The number itself is normally enough and what I use. In this case the "R" is actually an A, "B" can always be mistaken for an 8, just use the number.

It definitely looks an R to me, but that doesn't seem to be important anyway. Any idea what they might be worth? They look like they are new with valves installed.

In the case of a Merc casting, it will be an R.
It's still for a 442 engine though.
Merc part numbers all follow the same structure.
First three digits are the family number the part was originally designed for. It generally refers to either the chassis code, or engine code. There are anomalies though, as things like 906 can either refer to the OM906 engine, or the previous 906 chassis sprinter.
Next three are the component group. 016 is cylinder head. IIRC 015 is engine block, and 545 is electrical.
Next two is the part revision number. Original part starts of as 00, and then for any revisions the number gets incremented (which could be either a simple revision to improve the part, or something more major like a dimension change)
Final two are the sub-part identification. Basically separates the different parts within the component group.

Then if there is a 80 or 87 after the first 10 digits, it's an exchange part.
Or if there's 4 digits, then it's the colour code for the part.

Or if the part number starts with an N, then it should have 12 numbers, and it's for a generic/consumable part.

We get most of our Unimog spares from our local Merc truck dealership, a lot of the part numbers cross over to a truck part. There is a huge difference between a mog specialists prices and the truck depots, it can be double the price for the same part.

That is more likely down to the 'specialists' involved.
Truck part prices are generally fixed due to national contract pricing, but there is nothing stopping dealers from charging a different price to non-contract customers.

I know our previous local MF parts guy told me they often supplied parts to farmers from further afield, as the dealer covering that area charged more than the recommended price, and a lot of the farmers had cottoned on that it worth driving 45 minutes further to save money.
