thought ide show you another use for an overhead roller for a chain hoist...Ring roller basicly take it apart and machine the rollers flat then cut a slot either side on the plates to allow a sliding ajustment for the centre roller that i knocked up on the lathe...pin it to a centre shaft and make a turning handle. Weld a centre plate on top to accept a large bolt for winding down the centre roller to apply force and then weld a plate to the side so you can hold in a vice and bobs ya uncle it works perfect and now i can crack on with a set of gates as i needed to form a radius for the top rail. MIght as well show you a rough hydrolic press i knocked up with a bit of scrap box i had...hydro unit is off a concreting power float and its used to change the pitch of the 4 blades kinda like a helicopter rota head...sorry for the pic quality buts its on my work phone but you kinda get the idea chaps Beats sitting in front of the telly anyway till ime back at work...
