Metal cutting saw bargain

Thought this may be of interest to a few of you that have been considering buying a metal cutting circular saw.... they have it in 110, but havn't looked to see if they have a 240 option.

Looks like a proper bargain to me.

Just ordered one, at that price its not much more money than the cheapo one I had that caught fire last week.

I have always had good servise from FFX with next day delivery even when I have ordered quite late in the day.

Obviously no connection to the company just a very satisfied customer.

I'm amazed how cheap it is, knock the vat off and its £45.83, and the nextday courier must cost them at least a fiver.
Communication from them has been great, ordered at 12:30 and received a text and email at 1:15 to say its on the way, I'll test it when it turns up and report back.

99% sure it takes evolution blades, so replacements shouldn't be difficult to source either.

I see the more serious metal workers on here are jumping on these, is it a tool you quite regularly use in the 'shop? For slicing full sheets to size I guess?

Well it arrived as promised, received a text and an email at 9:00, saying it would arrive between 9:30 an 10:30, actually turned up at 10:15. spot on service.
This is not the first saw of this type I have owned so I knew what to expect, but for the benefit of anyone thinking of buying one......

this is whats in the box, you even get a pair of safety specs.


To fit the blade you have to remove the side cover from the machine using the key supplied.



Then swing the footplate right down out of the way to give room to slip the blade in.


Ready to roll


First cut on a piece of 1.5mm mild steel sheet


Then a slice off the end of a 50 x 50 x 3 shs


And a piece off 6mm aluminium, the supplied blade is not the ideal for ally but coped without any problem.


So well pleased, excellent service from ffx, and the best fifty quid I've spent for a long time.
