I'm not sure what type of flower this thing is, but I saw a similar one as part of a huge big wall mural made of ceramic.
It measures 460 mm high and is made out of 2mm flat sheet. I cut the 3 flower leaves from a single piece using the angle grinder as close as I could and then the flap wheel. Used a thicker disc (3mm ?) to mark around the edges where the gold paint is. The round things are 16 mm washers with the head of a 12mm cup head bolt welded in behind them and the storky bits (you can see I'm right into flowers !) are 5 mm rod.
I mounted it on the black background as you can see which is also 2mm as I have lots left over from a previous job. To give it some depth I cut a 10 mm rod into 3/ 20mm long pieces and then drilled and tapped them out and welded them on the back of the flower and screwed it all together from behind.
I don't know what I'm going to do with it now .............. probably stick it in a corner somewhere and forget about it. But, like a lot of things, it was fun working out how to do it and actually seeing it come together.
