Is there a Mig amp chart, the same format as the Tig amp chart ? as I printed this off and found it so useful in my workshop for quick reference as a beginner.
I think I'm right in saying that some MIG welders might refer to amps rather than the more specific voltage and wire feed speed..? The MIG settings calculator linked to above is, I think, more for machines with preset steps.
Clarke weld MIG 100E mk2 its over 30 years old and still works well for my DIY car restoration work. I did find the Mig setting calculator chart but my instruction book doesn`t give the Min output data. It also gives settings but not for s/steel, just wanted easy chart like the Tig. Thanks
All of the older, small Clarke variants are basically using one transformer, gas or gasless - e.g. 85 EN/ Pro90 /105 / 100E.
They weld up to 3 mm steel. 25 Amps upwards.
Automotive use on thin metal is their well established forte. You don't need numbers, you have to play around -as in, 'dial in' for your stuff.
