Mig amps/volts

Hi I’ve bought a new welder and am wondering how I set the amps and volts ? If I set the amps to 30 amps what would I set the volts too ?

i stand to be corrected but,
if using stick/mma then set the amps e.g 90A for 2.5mm or 120A for 3.2mm
(Maybe ~4.5 or ~6 on the dial)
if using mig, set amps to 0, then set the volts and wire speed according to application.
.for test runs on lightish plate maybe try 4 `volts' and 4 `speed´
as you weld and listen for the crackle, get someone to read the amps displayed
see how it goes from there

Choose whether you want mig or mma.

If MMA, only current (A) is useful. Bottom right controls current.

If mig, bottom right controls voltage. Top middle control is inductance. Probably set to 5. Bottom middle is wire feed speed. Play with volts and wire speed to get best weld performance, as @fzr phil states.

My old sealey welder is gas only ! So my new inverta welder can be used gas/gasless so I no need to worry about running out of gas anymore and looking forward to using and setting it up
