mig/arc frankenstein machine

having a bit of a tidy up i have come across a lot of parts from old mig,s i have owned in the past,i also have an arc i bought about 30 years ago,it hasnt been used for the last 10.
the arc is 160 amp,so is it posible to use the transformer from the arc in a home brewed mig?

It gets asked about once a month.

Even the CC/CV I wrote is abbreviated. I've gotten tired of explaining why. I almost just said "no" and nothing else.
