Mig/Tig torch holder

I made the yellow one in the pic's years ago and its always worked well, Decided to make a similar one today but with a better table clamp, I usually use it with the mig torch upright,

Not up to now Kent, and the original has lived in that position quite a few years now,

The only problem with the tube type holder is it can strain the shroud retaining part of the swan neck, the production welders used to tack a piece of tube to the workbench to use as a "holster", this was the result...

That's the reason that although dual purpose, I use the vertical position, Also it is much easier to stand the handle in the forks than mess about finding the tube,

I have seen those before, they look pretty good and was even going to make one myself at one time but hadn't got a magnet without buying one, Also not keen on magnets around welding and grinding dust etc, I have some of those triangular set up one but never use them

I made mine out of stainless, an old speaker magnet makes a good base.

Neat idea, although I know from experience that if there is so much as a paper clip dangling over the edge of the bench I will catch it and rip the chuff out of my overalls!
