Anyone else needed help to see the weld pool, thinking of attaching one of the mini led lights to helmet, struggled for long enough. Maybe the settings need adjusting, or fresh eyes??

I had one on my lid for a while but can't find the pic(s) now - I posted them on here at the time. Or something like this might help? Easily knocked together, the light is a Banggood cyclists lamp - fully adjustable and gives plenty of light on the workpiece.

I got a led light on mine makes a big difference as it a cheap helmet, I was struggling to get enough light on the weldpool without the helmet darkening so a light on the top works a treat, also it can be used where ever you are welding if out of the shop.
what helmet are you using? Is the lens clean?

I was having issues seeing the weld pool, but when I added more light above the work area, I had even more problems seeing it. I got rid of that light, made sure the lens on the helmet was clean inside and out, adjusted the settings and hey presto, I had a visible weld pool

i bought myself a "big larry" led torch from "the range" - pretty sure screwstation do them.
magnetic base might be an issue, but i find it useful.
as bright as the 50w led sitelights i used to use - and dont get in the way as much.
