this is a cerdi welding machine type 300 gls..does the terminals below allow a 240 v with ground or its a 3 phase termination with star connectivity since I use a 440v input??
It's 3 phase.
You can run it on 230v 3-phase or 400v 3-phase by changing the jumper positions.
The input cables stay in the same place.
Ground will connect somewhere else.
There are 6 terminals. If we number them 1 - 6 from the left, then power enters on 2, 4, and 6, and connects to one end of the three transformer primary windings at each of those three terminals. The other end of the "2" winding is at terminal 1. The "4" winding ends at terminal 3, and the "6" winding ends at terminal 5.
When configured for 230v 3-phase, terminal 3 is jumpered to 2, 5 is jumpered to 4, and 6 is jumpered to 1. This joins the ends of all the windings together into Delta.
When configured for 400v, terminals 1, 3, and 5 are all joined together to form the star point of a "Y" ( Wye ) configuration. There is no Neutral connection.
