Military Aluminium step ladder

Used them in the RAF many years ago and managed to get one at auction last weekend. There were 6 for sale and the one I selected got filched and I was left with one but alas it has some problems. One step missing and two others damaged along with missing wheels! It is usable as I have just finished cutting my hedge on it but would like to repair it to as it should be. I have tried a search on the web for military breakers but no luck. Anybody know of the people who deal in that sort of thing? They are "A" ladder 5 ft high by the way.

They were handy when I was setting up for rally recovery, even picked up some PMR radios and converted them to rally frequencies

It is more like 6ft high and I have just finished taking it apart to repair the damaged steps so a photo will have to wait. I could take one of the two step assemblies set against each other to show the type. Will set to to do that tomorrow.

I dont think falling was the problem, getting your arsse pinched is the problem! im sure a few of us can still remember the pain!

It was always my bored Sunday fallback and usually came back with something obscure. Once bought a stretcher for £1, makes a good lounger and still regret not getting some skis or a mirror on a stick for searching under vehicles when they were £1 It's only a 20 minute drive from us.

The number of times I've bruised my belly pinching it in the handles of the Gilbows and never learn.

I thought Gilbows were all right; it was the Chinese ones with the end of the handles curved together that bit the heel of your hand.

I put one of the handles in the vice & use it like a mini shear.
