I'm told by most people who have used them that they're the dogs danglies, like most things from Milwaukee.
I'd have one myself if it wasn't for the fact that it's work that would get the most benefit from having one, not me.

I know a couple of guys who work machinery up in the forest harvesting, they both swear by the 18 volt versions.

The bare unit is the same price as my draper expert which came in a case with two batteries and a charger, I realise milwaukee is quality gear but that does seem a bit spendy for a bare grease gun. I was just totting up how many grease cartridges would have gone through that draper gun in the three years I have had it and its about 250

WOW it leaks that bad ??

Not the gun norm but oils leach out of the spare cartridges in the lid of the case into the box so it does get a bit gungy in there, another good reason not to share the battery type or charger with any of the workshop tools.

Never tried Draper but a Sealey cordless grease gun is enough to mean that I wouldn’t buy anything other than Milwaukee...

Was just choking I have never tried a cordless one the old lever ones are a pain trying to hold the gun and the nozzle to get lock on and work the handle I usually put two flexies in series so as to put the body on the floor to work the handle.

Try a g coupler or alemite 3 jaw chuck never had a problem with an alemite gripping amd people keep recomending the g coupler
The chucks dont last very long really in daily use and are usually the reason its not sealing although sometimes a machine needs new nipples

does the milwaukee grease gun auto-prime / purge air by itself?

I had a draper air grease gun and it was rubbish, slightest air bubble would take forever to shift

bought a lincoln air one from america (bit spendy, but looks like they're out over here now)

it's fantastic, grease flies out of it, clears any air etc. by itself no problem at all - enough that I can half **** filling it and it still works fine (makes less mess half arseing filling it)

but... 99% of the time where I'm suing it there's no air line, so I have to drag out a little compressor, air line, extension lead to power it etc. etc.

battery would would be easier if it works well... already have milwaukee kit so don;t need batteries etc.

If and I mean if, it does get an airlock there is a small button to push in on the side and its as simple as that....... Milwaukee all the way 10,000 psi gets my vote

Best accessory for greasing that you can get, ordinary couplers are not only consumables but poor at their job too.

I have found my G coupler lasts well.

bought one now two speed , enjoyed using it ,so much easier than the old lever gun , easy to bleed , grease goes where it should instead of leaking out the side and hoping some went in
