Started this evening on a turbo manifold for my R53. Its a long term project so dont expect to see this done in a few weeks unfortunately.
I've very little welding experience but hoping to learn with this project, however ive access to a lovley Tig welder and all the cutting tools i need.
Started by making a jig to cut the pipe for the collector, as the pipe needs to be cut, then rotated 90 degrees then cut again so all 4 pipes sit together.
Not the best looking thing but it works
Trial cut on some old pipe, i did the angle way to sharp on the chop saw which is why the pipes are pretty much at a right angle, just need to fiddle about getting a nice angle.
