Mobile bench castors

Hi guys,
Here is something I am working on.


A bracket which raises castors off the ground, rather than having braked wheels which seems unsatisfactory for me.
I copied this from a mobile base I have for my woodbutchering tablesaw.
Looking at it, it is going to be difficult to make without machinery.
So, I am wondering if any of yoos guys have come up with anything simpler to make.?

Thanks for the links.
I don't think the wheelbarrow idea will work with the bench being so heavy.
I have had another idea after seeing a castor style I haven't seen before on that website link.

How about mounting the castors on an axle/steel rod at each end of the bench. then use a detachable handle or pole to turn the axle thus raising the bench off the floor and onto the castors. a pip pin or similar to hold wheels down or up.
i used to have a huge facom toolbox that used a similar system.it worked well.

what you require is the same system that is used to move pool tables which uses a cam system to lift the table

Without a size, its hard to guess, but, a couple of bits of box, a drill and a grinder and you could have what youve drawn up.....

Levers cut from 40x40x5..... bracket from 50x50x5... might be a touch tight, or 50x50x4

or 50x50x5 and 60x60x5.... Sucha small bit, a flap disc would ease any tightness..... So would knocking the side of the smaller bit with a decent hammer...

I have seen a castor with side mounting, I can make a simple mechanism which is like a big washer with an offset hole giving me a cam action, easy to make.!
Time to get the Inventor fired up.!
Gotta get some machinery if I am going to continue this hobby, my fingers ache so much.
