I have just bought a 100l compressor i just need some advise on how to get ride of the water (moisture) which finds its way to my spray gun. The compressor is mobile so i need a sort of bowl drain or water filter which will just fit onto the outlet of the compressor no fancy attachments which i have to mount on a wall in my garage. Any ideas? Thanks

The filters really need to be mounted upright, is there any way of fitting a small bracket to the compressor and connecting it with a short hose?

I have a Norgen filter/water trap and a coalescing oil filter that I bought new with change from £100, which I don't think is extortionate.

its also worth noting if you only use the one filter and you mount it close to the compressor it will eventually heat up (warm air from compressor) and stop working, so ideally you could do to put as big a legnth of hose between the compressor and filter as you can to allow the air to cool before reaching the filter

i nearly choked on my cup of tea there when u mentioned £100 quid 
I have drop legs in my pipe work and a separator at the end of the line followed by a coalescing filter, then to be as sure as I can I use a small gun mounted inline filter it's a plastic devilbiss one. I have also found that lowering the cutout pressure on the compressor helps as the more air is compressed the hotter it gets, just dropping to 8 bar made a difference.
