more compressor info reqired

My airmaster tiger 9/50 compressor did not work correctly found that the pressure switch had a fault on it the pressure relief part of the switch was stuck open so i fitted a new switch now all seems to work correctly, what i am wondering is what sort of time should it take to get to full pressure i timed it and it took 2min 10sec from 0 to shut off at 120 psi with a 50 ltr tank the pump is a mk93 with a 2hp motor . Also the filter regulator has stripped the thread inside so cant get it above 20psi can you get a replacement top or is it a new full unit, temporary fixed with washers behind the nut inside just set pressure with my remote one.

sounds about right time wise to reach pressure, I would imagine it will be a new regulator, if its one of the small cheap regulators you will be better off upgrading anyway they seem to restrict flow to air tools

Sounds OK to me.

It's best to have the reg as near to the point of use as possible anyway. If there's a port on the end of the tank get a 1/2 in reg. to fit that.
