Mother's day present finally finished!

After making stuff for others, OH was feeling a bit left out, She said "you can make me an elephant for the garden". I said I would make something for Mother's Day.

So today, Elmer finally emerges from the workshop and wanders down to the garden. Elmer particularly likes his tusks, thinks they give him 'don't mess with me' kind of look :-)

I made a simple frame a while back that looks like a church tower with a pitched roof. We trained a clematis to grow up it and it's now taken hold pretty well. Looking forward to when the flowers bloom.

Yes, mild steel box section 90mm X 2.5 50mm X 2.0 plus some 50mm and 40mm go kart axle. Some of the slices were plasma cut but that was too much hassle so the rest were cut on the handsaw.
There is no coating on it so rust will emerge eventually.

Here you go. It suddenly took off and enveloped the frame so a bit of tidying was required so that (part of) the frame became visible once again.
