I want to raise the ground level under this unit by about 100mm and that's more than the flexible connections would allow. I'll have to disconnect and shorten the fixed copper pipes, that's easy enough, but I've can't find suitable advice about what I have to do after reconnecting. The flexies are the two pipes running horizontally from the unit.
My plan is to close both valves in the picture (and in real life), undo the compression fitting on one pipe, shorten the pipe, cap both ends and then do similar to the other pipe. With both valves closed there should be no flow through the system so I won't lose much fluid. I've got spare fluid if topping up is needed.
I'll disconnect the electrical supply too.
What obvious things have I missed?
