I was having trouble folding an awkward series of lip edges on a chassis panel I was welding to my rusty ford escort Ive posted this idea because it was simple and cheap forgive me if its an idea thats already out there kind I need to edit the picture so I can post it but
Basically I cut a piece of flat bar to a short length then cut a slot with the angle grinder about two thirds Lengthways (Sort of like a tuning fork)
In my case I didn’t have to pay anything but any scrap metal (about ¼ inch thick) will do as long as its strong enough for what you need.
I cut the corners off one piece so I could use them as a levers to fold the lip of the chassis patch to a 60 and 90 degree angle .
The slot kept the metal straight as I then chiselled the shoulder, working along the metal clamped to a piece of wood template shaped to fit the section I will submit a picture later Regards SB Metalman
