Hi folks. My dad bought a murex tradesmig in 1988 when i was 17 and now in 53 I still own this set.
The connection that the torch fits into on the machine, I'm after the euro connector. Are these a general type part that fit all mig sets please?

You'll need a MB25 or MB26 torch to handle full power of your mig unit.
The MB15 torch is only rated for up to 150/180 amps, there's no problem using a MB15 on it but you'll be limited by heat problems within the torch design.


I'd phone these people before you proceed any further, they'll supply parts and answer any questions you have, and they close by.

That already appears to have an early style Euro-connector fitted, so it should just be a straight replacement, but sometimes it might need a bit of modifying ( 4 holes instead of 3 holes)

Are you after a new connector for the machine or a new torch??

PS. does the fluted collar unscrew, take a picture of the wire feed motor and the connector on the machine and post it... ?
