My compressor refurbishment

Hi guys.
Though I would start a thred about my compressor I finally picked up last week. I got it running but needs a few bits doing to it....it also produces hot air that I supplied via the exhaust. And also has a vacuum function...had the valves apart today as one of them was stuck...managed to pull it apart and sort it..

That's a nice bit of kit to have if you have storage space. I'd love one especially for the vacuum side of things
What is the working PSI , cu ft of the tank & how many inches of mercury will it pull on the vacuum gauge ........ please ?

Oh ...... I can see two PSI figures on the tank 140 & 70 psi is that a maximum till it cuts out & a minimum for it to auto start / kick in on the compressing cycle again ?

Soon as I get it back together I will test. Here is a picture of the two gauges. One for preasure and other for vacuum. The gauges are opperlite to the keys.

Those dial numbers could represent all manner of things , perhaps send pictures to see if the guys at the Lancaster ( dam buster ) museum East Kirby Lincolnshire or The battle of Britain memorial flight at RAF Conningsby Lincolnshire can shed any light on the machine .

The heated air might well be for preheating a cold piston engined aircrafts engine for an easier start in cold weather.
If the vacuum side of things takes the suction back into the circuit rather than expelling it to the atmosphere it may be a sort of effective closed circuit air heater for the engine cylinders , manifolds & carbs .

I think you correct as it doesn't expel and takes it back in to the system...not overly sure how it works to be honest...but will get it running again soon so I can suss out what does what.
