OK... First off I have read the sticky links (FAQ's), but while I might be a bit thick, I still don't have the answers I need - so hoping a Compressor Sage will provide enlightenment
My Type 30 has a 2hp motor, & the twin-cyl Type 234 pump. From tables someone kindly put up (below), then (best I can make out) at 100psi this Compressor is perhaps 10cfm??
A thread running ATM about Impact Guns has got me thinking about something meaty enough for the wheel nuts (27mm Nut & I dunno maybe M16?) and Leaf Spring Bush bolts etc etc on my 3.5 tonne LDV.
These I think would need a Rattle Gun with some serious thud.... & I can't justify many hundreds of beer tokens that'd be needed on a battery gun with that sort of heft. Hence thinking Air Tool.
These Air Gun tools all seem to run at 90psi, and according to the Clarke options I was looking at, demand 6.2 to 8.5cfm.
My Compressor charges to 10-Bar, 145psi. So doesn't that give me extra capacity in the Reciever if the Gun Feed is set at 90psi?? If yes, then doesn't that indicate that my (I think) 150- Litre Reciever, plus the 145psi pressure in it.... mean that it's got the spuds to handle a big 1/2" or 3/4" Rattle Gun??
Also... (If the IR30 can handle it) would I be better getting a 3/4 for the bigger stuff, and using a 1/2" Reducer for smaller Impact sockets???
TIA
G.
So... at a typical 6.2Bar, 90psi...
