My new helmet!

After all the discussions about Sperian Optrel e680s I decided I had to have one to go with my new Portamig.

So here she is:

Picked it up off a guy who had never used it so it's essentially new. Complete with two spare front lenses

All I need to do now is some welding

my speedglass 9002v was a better buy it was free

I paid about half price for mine and love it. I still polish it daily,fnuuurrr fnuuurrrrr.
prefer it to my speedglas.
It also comes with a nicer sofa.

I thought you ment DFS were improving there "half price sale" by including a welding helmet, but then I looked at the first pic : )

It's copper. I quite like it although it may not have been my first choice. I could of course always paint it........

Dont listen to him he's jealous , mine came in white (beggars cant be choosers) I probably look like a storm trooper in it but I dont spend a lot of time looking in a mirror while im welding and it didn't take long to get mucky welding on galv.

Cant remember what colour mine is (blue?) but it has a built in hard hat as well.

Whatever, great bits of kit. I wore one of the cheapo ones I use for my sculpture courses today. Did the job, amazing for £25.00, adjustable for shade as well.
But I am worth it.
