My old mans 70th birthday card

Its my dads 70th in a couple of weeks time so I decided to make him a card.

I started with a bit of salvaged shop shelving

some bits of brass and copper, about 20 hours of cutting, bashing, brazing and welding and i've made this

I think he will be very happy, thats not going to be one that goes out in the bin a week later i'll bet.

I did make wifey one once out of a lump of 3mm plate about a foot square.
She was not impressed.

Card

real class-- Love it, so will he.
Reminds me of some of the "special stuff" Grandchildren make by themselves, so much better than an off the shelf stock card. One did a get well Grandma card a wee while back, shes still has it up and thinks its so special.
