Having recently acquired my Harrison M300 I have had 2 friends of friends enquire about buying my Myford ML7, I suspect I may regret it but I could do with the space and suspect I will hardly use it, so I am thinking of selling. So I want to charge a fair price, though there is such a range of Myfords in terms of condition and accessories it is difficult to use ebay sales as an accurate guide, so would be interested in advice on if £1400 sounds a fair asking price.
It is a 73 ML7 with clutch running on a 240v motor on Myford stand with drip tray and raising blocks in original paint in very good condition with no visible wear.
Indexible dials added, thrust washer conversion to cross slide screw. Quick change toolpost with more than 12 holders.
Fixed steady, travelling Steady, milling attachment with vice, eccentric engineering collet chuck and set ER32 collets, eccentric engineering diamond tool holder and sharpener, small and large face plates, keats plates, 3 and 4 jaw chucks, tailstock jacobs chuck, tailstock die holder, centres, spare drive belt, lots of tools ( carbide, brazed, hss), boring head, tailstock 4 jaw chuck.
There is a DRO Readout and 2 scales I never got round to fitting plus a home made light duty toolpost grinder and the original 4 way toolpost and an LED worklight.
it is such a nice old machine that part of me just wants to keep it, though I would be happy to see it getting used regularly rather than just as a backup for me, I realise the price of Myford's and their accessories are extortionate for what they are which makes me feel I am asking too much, though the individual cost to me of the lathe and accessories is more than I was looking at asking!
So am I being greedy thinking £1400 with all the accessories or what is a fair price?
