Neat welding bench idea

My nephew shared this with me and I thought it rather clever

Nice idea but would you really want to weld above a plastic/ polyester resin ball!

I reckon you could simplify it a bit by replacing the hydraulic jack with a compression spring and a mechanism to lock the pedal down when the ball has been positioned.

I've got several bottles of Jack-but have problems with the drake biscs and the balling bowl for some reason
