Just received a vat free voucher from machine mart ,is there anywhere cheaper ?.

Anyone enlighten me what the (OL) or (WIS) mean after the product oil-less and???...within the budget £450-£560 there are 3hp and 4hp models and i can see the differences but these..?

I might decide to go the extra and go for a 200l and 4hp unit and 18cfm,only have 240v and space is limited,want to use usual impact wrenches and d/a's etc and still have a 2hp portable spare

Also interested in used compressors if local enough

I went for a 3hp 14cfm displacement and can run a da sander without issue but compressor does run a lot to keep up, never dropped below 90psi though. 4hp would probably cycle better but you need a good supply for 4hp, the 3hp realistically needs a 30amp breaker and 4mm cable for start up. I think the 4hp needs 40amp but that's only the same as a shower so not to difficult to set up.

I would presume the O/L would be "overload" and the WIS could be "wired in starter".

Power shouldn't be an issue. ...machine mart says 30amp supply though..

OL and WIS...hadn't considered "wired in starter"..I had assumed they would be DOL or direct online...any sparks like to explain why a WIS is better ...I think its the more expensive ones but I'm at work on the mobile atm....

My 3HP compressor runs without any problem off a 16amp supply. just my 2 cents
