There's been a bit of rust bubbling through on the rear wheelarch of my Astra (where they always go), and it's been staring at me for a few weeks now. The other day I decided to do something about it, and prodded it with a key. Sure enough, it's perforated.
Now, wheelarch panels are easily available, but my problem is one of timing. The MoT's due at the end of the month. Do I repair the wheelarch, and risk it failing somewhere terminal - I don't think it will, but it'd be just my luck - or do I get it tested and risk it failing on the wheelarch?
I suppose what I'm asking is, is the wheelarch a failure point? Here's a pic:
