Need a new compressor

Probably a good compressor.

one issue I've read about them in the past (on here) is that the air manifolds are made of cheese. I havn't had any issues with mine.

I would check out Air Industrial Equipment (AIE), they used to have a (pretty dire) website which now doesn't appear to work at all, so perhaps just best to give them a ring. They are resold elsewhere but I found it much cheaper to deal direct.

I'm extremely pleased with mine (I believe it is an HW16) and they are very solid all cast iron pumps. I think the pumps are probably still Indian/Chinese origin but the machine is assembled in the UK and I'm fairly sure the receiver is made here too. Seems well built with quality bits and substantially more sturdy than my Sealey. I suspect it might be more than your original budget, but may be worth considering.

I’ve got an ABAC 150l one, they maybe a bit more money new (I had mine secondhand off the very lovely @roofman a few years back ) but I’ve been very happy with it.

I have one of those bought from UKHSTV for £199 on offer a couple of years ago. It's a good compressor with a twin cylinder pump and belt driven, not at all noisy. It replaced my SIP V twin direct drive which was noisy but did the job painting a few cars and inflating tyres, blowing out and cleaning chainsaws and carburettors.
That Clarke Airmaster looks like my old SIP V twin direct drive so it will be louder but not unbearable.

I was looking to avoid oil less and direct drive if possible because they are quite noisy

i still feel like i robbed the bloke!
