Need Brain juice help

Its been a long week so my noggin is not playing ball tonight so need help...My friend wants to know how long a large size welding gas cylinder filled to 4000 PSI would last with a continuing 10LPM discharge?. I am good at maths but i just cant begin to get my head around this one tonight so help appreciated I have put it into this section as he has his own diving compressor and wants to fill himself with normal fresh air to run an oil burner

4000 x 100 / 14.7 = 27586 litres

27586 / 10 = 2758 min

2759 / 60 = 46hrs

Does that sound right?

Also 4000PSI or 276 Bar seems a strange pressure, usually 230bar for normal stuff from the likes of BOC or 300Bar in their high pressure cylinders.

My BOC bottles always seem to be between 240 to 280 Bar...i always ask at the depot why there are different each bottle change and no one knows the answer

Any ones I have had from the BOC were 230bar give or take a few bar and the high pressure ones I now use are 300Bar give or take a few bar.
Temp when filled and temp when you shove a gauge on can make a difference but really it shouldn't be that much and certainly not as much as 40-50 bar.

If i remember i will grab a picture, i was looking at my Albee acetylene cylinder today and noticed the capacity gauge has a hot and cold dual display i was surprised just how different the two ranges are, never noticed it until today.

I am not sure if you can really compare Acetylene to a gas such as Argon. Acetylene is dissolved in a solvent and the cylinder has a porous substrate in it to hold the dissolved Acetylene/Solvent.

Aye, I think my Y size one of ArgoShield for the mig are filled to that pressure. Can't recall offhand what the pure Argon one is.

The air will need to be extremely dry to avoid icing. With a continuous flow, the temprature will continually drop, due to the jt effect.
